Sponsored Products have two different targeting options: Keywords and Products. Many advertisers rely heavily on keyword targeting. However, to improve performance and to best utilize Sellics Keyword Harvesting, product targeting campaigns are recommended.
Create a Sponsored Products Campaign
Create a Manual Targeting campaign
Pro Tip: When naming a product targeting campaign, use an identifier such as "product" or "ASIN" in the campaign title to make searching for the campaign easier.
Create an ad group
Choose Individual Products
Be thoughtful which products you choose to target. These are essentially your “keywords.” If utilizing Sellics Keyword Harvesting, choose a handful of Targets you believe Amazon shoppers would choose your advertised product over. Once Keyword Harvesting is set up, the campaign will fill with more qualified products based on performance.
Note: The default tab is categories. Choose Individual Products only and do not mix Categories and Individual Products in the same campaign.
There is no match type (broad, phrase, manual) with products.
Bonus Advanced Strategy Option:
Create two product targeting campaigns:
One that targets your competitors ASINs
One that cross-promotes your own ASINs
For the competitor campaign, make sure to negate your own products under negative product targeting. For your cross-promotion campaigns, choose the ASIN that has the most Glance Views (GV is an organic metric) as the advertised ASIN. Then choose the remainder of your ASINs as your Targets. You can be more thoughtful and creative in this strategy. For example if you are selling Air Purifiers you can advertise the corresponding filters for the product by targeting the Air Purifier.
